lower washer arm fell off during wash cycle and when heat element came on melted all over heat element causing caustic fumes to escape from dishwasher. I caught it before it caught on fire, killed power and vented entire house. Can I get melted plastic off element and reuse that or do I need to replace element as well as washer arm? Will burnt plastic smell ever go away ?
