After an overflow I checked the needle trap and cleaned, but I noticed that the round white plastic part was split in two places, so I ordered a new trap. It was also split in two places. Perhaps it supposed to be this way? The machine worked fine for a few months... then another overflow. The trap has nothing caught in it. We checked the hoses, all look fine. I ran an empty half load, no problems, but the next full load... water all over the floor and it was pouring out of the needle trap area. Help!

5 I am having a similar problem. The issue might be a clogged drain or drain hose (the light gray hose inside - you have to remove the front galvanized plate using a Torx screwdriver); it might also be a bad drain motor (Google Repair Clinic & part #). And, it could be the needle trap itself - yes, it is supposed to be 'split' in 2 places). I am still analyzing, and will try to post the resolution. 3/13/2010 - by Warren

0 remove three screws at rear of lid. front of lid slots under edge of plastic front trim, there are are two locating pins in sides which are vertical, so back of lid has to be lifted up. if machine is not quite leval lid sticks at back put flat screwdriver in lid/cabinet seam on side at back, gently leaver up lid will come off. jims appliance service. (also can be axcessed through back but a bit of a fiddle jim
