Bosch WTMC 6500UC Gas Dryer...

Bosch WTMC 6500UC Gas Dryer runs but wont heat blows out cold air i took the back panel off to reset red thermostat button on gas chamber but button is floating and appears to be broken. If I replace this will this fix the heating problem or is it something else. Trying to do myself to save hundreds of dollars.thanks
