have a nkt625deu/02 ceran hob ,that does not want ...

have a nkt625deu/02 ceran hob ,that does not want to go on ,opened it up and loosened the control and touch it the rubbers on the control and it came on ,and all the plates working.so i put it back ,still does not want to work ,so what makes it work ??
