4 At first thank you verry much for this (simple) solution. Mine was also changed by accident. Not by a child of 2 or 3 years old but by my wife of 45 years old. :-) No worry, she is still my wife. Tnx Ger@ld from Holland

4 My 2 year old changed mine as well!! Could not work out how to change it back from F to C with one button!! Now problem solved

4 Oh my God was it helpful? It sure was. I tried everything to change from F to C and after a doctor suggested I look up the company and write to them I found this site and it had the answer. So simple now but so hard before. Thank you so much.

4 Changing the temperature scale Your Braun ThermoScan is shipped with the Celsius (°C) temperature scale activated. If you whish to switch to Fahrenheit (°F) and/or back from Fahrenheit to Celsius, proceed as follows: (1) Make sure the thermometer is turned off. (2) Press and hold down the «start» button (IRT 4020) or the «I/O» button (IRT 4520). After about 3 seconds the display will show this sequence: «°C» / «SET» / «°F» / «SET» ... (3) Release the «start» button / «I/O» button when the desired temperature scale is shown. There will be a short beep to confirm the new setting, then the thermometer is turned off automatically.

4 Also my 4 year old son changed this by accident. Without the information above, i would never resolved the problem. It saved me from buying another one. So thanks very much!!!

4 have had my thermometer for 7 years and lost the manual and like F better and this info was very very helpfull as my lill girl has a high fever.. thanks a bunch..

3 Thank you very much for this useful information . My four year old son has been sick for two days now and it was stuck on F so I then had to go on line to convert over . Now I don't have to worry about that stress thanks heaps

3 we are in asia , so we usually use C to look the degrees. also a accident , my little sister change it . it very useful
