My smoke detectors are about 15 years old. My detector in my living room is still chirping even though the detector itself has been removed. I removed the detector however the chirping continues from the ceiling, not the unit itself. All I see is the connector and wires. Where is the chirping coming from and how do I stop it???????

0 Although I have BRK 7010B and the system isn't very old. I've removed all of the units, and there is still beeping happening apparently from the wiring, even though that doesn't make any sense. My theory is that there's something above or behind the electrical box that I can't see, because I don't see how the wires could make noise, but my ears are telling me otherwise.
