0 Unless you have a different calculator than my MP49D, this calculator uses a C-wind ribbon. You remove the panel where the paper comes out. The ribbon is easily removed by hold the silver metal tab and lifting the spool out from each side. When insterting the new ribbon, make sure it is with the black on top and wind it around the front where the roll bar is located between the printing mechanisim. Replace the panel and reinsert the paper.
