my elec fireplace is model EF22. CFM corp's number is out of service. I bought last Feb. only used for about 2 months and hardly at all over the summer. Tried using recently and only blows cold air. turns on and off. unable to access warrenty because am unable to contact CFM. Home depot NO HELP AT ALL (where i purchased)

3 I had the same problem, would turn on but would only blow cold air. Pulled top off and tested heater, found diod to be bad. Cut out diod or (inline fuse) and hard wired it, works perfect.

0 I bought mine in February hardly ever used it, Went to turn it on the other night and the thing would not cut on at all. Just found out today, that CFM is no longer in business they went bankrupt in April. and the compnay that took over their line is no longer offering warranty support for my product. I guess I am sol.

0 terrible fireplace, home depot should replace this faulty part because mine blows only cold air! home depot blows!!

0 i got mine at restore ...and same problem ...so i took it apart and found loose connector to circuit board ,.almost like it was disabled on purpose..it has heat now but cord gets hot ..i think it should be hardwired for safety...where can i get a remote for this unit?
