0 I have washed the cover in the washing machine 4 times this year besides wipe downs in between. You will need a fillips head screwdriver. Besides unsnapping on both sides in the back you will need to undo the Velcro strap on the seat and take the elastic bands off the arms. Next unscrew the 3 screws under each arm rail.  Then take off the screws on each end of the front bar where it connects to each arm. Fold the front bar down and unscrew the bottom screw on the white cap at each end. Unbuckle the front strap that goes between the child's legs and take off the large buckle piece. Slide the strap out of the cover and if you need to wash it, take it off and wash with cover, if not leave attached to the bar. Slide off the cover. You will need to make a slice in the cover underneath on one side and slide the pressed base insert out as it is NOT washable. Only a slice on either the left or right side will do. Wash in cold water, normal cycle. All of the buckles and straps hold up in the dryer on regular heat as well. Then after washing, replace cover in reverse. It sounds like a lot but in whole takes about 5 - 7 minutes to undo and the same to replace. Once you do it once, like anything else it gets easier. Good Luck.
