Any clever person got any ideas on how to remove rear wheel. It seems to be seized onto the drive shaft. Have tried brute force to no avail.

0 Andrew, I believe that it is not seized on, but the central shaft that you see protruding out beyond the hub unscrews. The problem is that I think we have to remove the Woodruff key first, to allow the threads of the outer shaft to turn. Easier said than done. Having said all that, this is all conjecture. Well let you know how we get on..... Dave

0 Andrew. Have spoken to a tractor engineer. Do not use brute force! The shaft is held by a circlip inside the gearbox. If you dislodge this you will strip the gears. Gearboxes cost £700.00. Wheel is on the shaft as a machine fit, but the slightest rust will lock the two. The advice received is that you will not get it off unless you use heat. If you have to replace the Tube or tyre, do it with the wheel on and the tractor jacked up. Do not risk the gear box! Regards. Dave
