Question About Denon CD Player RCD-M38

Listening to music at lowish levels I constantly have to reduce the sound when there is a jump in volume on the CD, eg a piece of solo piano music.. I have just bought a pair of Rothwell Attenuators but cannot see how to fit them. Are they likely to solve the problem.
