Question About Electrolux Clothes Dryer EIED55HMB
DRYER PROBLEM...

WHEN I WENT TO TURN THE DIAL THE LIGHTS STARTED FLASHING AND THE SCREEN FLASHES 8888, WHEN I TRIED TO CANCEL AND RESET IT, THE NUMBER 5 APPEARS ON THE SCREEN AND THEN IT STARTS WITH 8888 AND ALL THE LIGHTS FLASHING AGAIN-HELP!

0 Flip the circuit breaker off for your dryer. This happend to me last year and worked. Dryer was just flashing again with the 8888 and all lights flashing. Just flipped off the breaker for 10 seconds, came back in the house all the lights were off, pressed the start button and it came on with the little welcome screen like it never had a problem! I guess I should call Electrolux and ask what it really means but the circuit breaker is a quick fix!

0 Chatted with the company...apparently it's like a computer and needs to be "rebooted" every once and a while (approximately once per year according to the company). Unplugging the dryer and plugging back in reboots it nicely.
