My Electrolux canister Epic-6500 SR shows the change bag light. We have changed the bag but it is not registering and the light keeps staying on and will not run. What can we do?

5 We removed the hose and it does run. It is registering the bag. The hose does not appear to be clogged but when we reattach it, the bag full light comes on. What should we do?
