digital, screen lights up when this box appears and disapears when at same time box disapears, i have already changed the wire to tower and hooked up to another computer in the house with same results. i am a tv tech and this monitor has me confused. i went ahead and replaced the electrolitics in power supply as i have had good results doing that in the past
