how do i disassembly the vacuum to get to the cord...

how do i disassembly the vacuum to get to the cord. i have taken out the three screws on top under handle but it still isnt coming apart, ive also tried taken the rubber ring out that seperates the two halfs but its not working out well. what else can i do?
