intermittant chirping with new battery - even if detector disconected -chirping coming from what seems is the elect. box

0 Could be a weak battery or one that's not put in right. Could be dust on the sensor cell? Could? Yeah, but it turns out when the alarm is tripped due to a deficiency, you not only have to correct the problem that causing it but you have to hit the reset buttom (meaning that you hold it down for a while, not just press it)
