5 Good Afternoon joeadcox, thank you for allowing me to assist you! Have you recently cleaned the filter? Most dishwashers have a glass trap located in the center of the filter designed to collect pieces of broken glass, straws, pits, etc. You should simply be able to grasp handle, and lift it out. Once you empty the filter, you may wash it with warm soapy water and allow it dry. Then place filter back. Is there standing water in sump? If yes, then more than likely the control or drain pump assembly would need replacing. However, if your dishwasher is making a grinding noise then it is recommended for the drain motor to be diagnosed. If this problem persists, you can locate a certified technician directly through the manufacturer website or in your local directory to determine what may be causing the issue at hand.
