We had a very quick storm which caused power failure for approximately 5 seconds. My freezer now will not work properly. The electronic gauge on the front shows a 9, but the instructions say that the coldest is a 7 and a 0 is off. The light bulb is not working either. The freezer is still cold, but does not sound like it is running and is not as cold as it was before the storm.

0 Good Morning Michelle_taylor, I understand that you had a brief power outage of 5 seconds and are now having trouble with your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU21F5HW, not cooling as well as it was and the light does not come on either. I suggest resetting your appliance by either unplugging it or shutting the power off at your homes circuit breaker for 203 minutes. Sometimes what can happen if there is a power surge, is the different control boards inside your freezer can miscommunicate and need this hard reset. Once you have brought power back to your freezer, set it to the lowest temperature and give it 24 hours to stabilize at those temperatures. If you are still noticing that your appliance is not as cold and the light is not working, I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your freezer and determine what is causing it to not cool. Hope this is helpful. -Best Regards-
