won't cool...

I defrosted the freezer, not when I turn it on I hear it click and that's all

0 Good Morning Sandy1951, I understand that you defrosted your Frigidaire freezer, model# FFU17M7, and when you turned it back on you heard a click and nothing else. First, check the temperature control setting to make sure that it is not in the off position. Try lowering the temperature to see if the compressor starts. Secondly, make sure that the plug is tightly pushed into the electrical outlet and that the outlet is not a ground fault interrupt circuit. Lastly, try resetting your freezer, by either unplugging it or shutting it off at your home’s circuit breaker, for 3-5 minutes. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your freezer status has changed successfully.
