Question About GE Trash Compactor GCG1580 SS, GCG1500 BB, GCG1500 WW, GCG1700 II*, ZCGS150 SS, ZCGP150 II*
Stuck Compactor Ram...

I have a compactor that was activated and then the door was opened during activation. The compactor is stuck against the trash container and I can't reactivate. Are there service instructions or wiring diagrams that might help fix this?

0 Turn it on again with the door shut and it should reverse and come back up. It will do this any time it is stopped mid cycle.

0 Oh ya, make sure the door is locked or it won't do a thing.
