Question About Holmes Humidifier HM1761

I'm trying to use this Humidifier but I am a little confused about someting it says in the Owners Manuel under the word Operating Instructions. it says by Number 2 to make sure the Wick is in place. What is the Wick and what does it look like and where is it located at. Can You tell Me or show Me a Picture.
