Honeywell model 580W3 smoke detector/transmitter seems to discharge batteries faster than expected. It is part of a whole house Protection One system that I am trying to test and the "fire check" remains on the controller station . With new battery the green light blinks, but It has no test button, so how do you confirm operation without lighting a fire near it?
