How do I remove the lid on my hotpoint tcl 770 tum...

How do I remove the lid on my hotpoint tcl 770 tumble dryer. I've removed the two screws on the rear of the lid. It lifts slightly at the back but it appears to be still held at the front. I've tried tapping it rear wards but still no jot. Does anyone know the answer please?
