Hi, I have a hotpoint 6525 double oven that I have just bought 2nd hand. The cakes I cooked didn't rise properly so I have just replaced the door seal. The cakes used to cook in 17 mins, it has just taken nearly an hour to cook one cake with the replaced seal!!! I am confused as to why it is taking so long, even though the cakes are now rising properly. It would appear that the oven is not getting up to temperature but why would replacing the door seal cause this to happen?!!!
