I purchased a HDS 890 model paint sprayer and the manual does not mention anything in reference to the parts that came with the item. Where does the piece that looks like a strainer goes?

0 The manual needs an exploded view of the mechanics involved with cleaning. I found a metal pin floating around under the Air Cap, does this thing belong there?
