5 One wire for the off switch may have come loose or fallen off. By removing the four screws holding on the front black cover you can easily see the connections between the switch and to the side of the engine. One wire is screwed to a metal bracket on the right side of the engine. It runs from there to the switch. The other wire runs from the switch to a connection near the screw the other wire is attached to. By 'grounding' out the connection near the screw to anything metal on the engine you will 'short out' the ignition circuit shutting off the engine. An old go-cart we once had had a simple piece of metal strap attached under one of the head bolts which was bent to hover above the bare end of the spark plug. By pushing the strap down to touch the spark plug it accomplished the same thing. DO NOT touch the spark plug first, it will hurt. Crude, but it will work if you can't get the kill switch to work.
