After replacing water intake/outake stems, and making the mistake of removing pump from motor shaft, then problems w/attachment, water now flows out of detergent intake on pump

0 Problems with pump attachment may have been misaligned shaft shim. Seal looks okay inside pump where mtr shaft inserts, but maybe shim breached it and broke internal water seal. Gray liquid came out during improper remount.

0 If you carefully remove the nipple the detergent hose is attached to you will notice a check ball and spring. These are to prevent your problem. A dried up flake of detergent in the hose may have been sucked into and lodged in the check ball. Clean it up with water and re-assemble. If it fell apart while you were dissasembling it, or forgot what order it goes together, the ball goes into the nipple first with the smaller diameter end of the spring against the check ball.
