0 o Remove the plastic caps on both sides of the deck to reveal the spindles with the 'V' belt.

o On the side opposite the grass deflector, reach in and push the wheel with the spring attached, to loosen the V belt and remove the belt from all the pulleys.

o There are 4 rings (like key rings), holding the support arms to the mower. Remove them and the arms will pop out with a pull.

o Where the front arms attach to the deck, they also, each attach to a metal plate that is attached to the height adjustment, lift arm. On each side, there is a nut facing inwards, so you can only see the nut on the opposite side of the mower you are on (which is a royal pain). Remove each with a couple of wrenches. one on a front nut that holds the lift arm to the deck, the other to this back nut.

o There is a nut and bolt attached to the plate and lift arm. Remove this on each side of the mower and this should loosen the plates, so you can remove them and, finally, separating the deck from the mower.

You should now be able to pull the deck out from under the mower.
