You need to crimp or solder a new one on, here is an example of what I mean. http://www.lightinthebox.com/5mm-infrared-transmitter-and-receiver-diode-4pcs_p2720120.html?currency=USD&litb_from=paid_adwords_shopping&utm_source=google_shopping&utm_medium=cpc&adword_mt=&adword_ct=84187023794&adword_kw=&adword_pos=3o17&adword_pl=&adword_net=g&adword_tar=&adw_src_id=1810908567_301578074_21687104834_pla-78632005276&gclid=CjwKEAjwiYG9BRCkgK-G45S323oSJABnykKA23O5uteQda8vV67qRvdbcSmd-o0Pz_UN5cjxCI9oqBoCXBTw_wcB

1 Bobby is spot on correct.  The link is to the part you need.  One bulb is black the other clear for the ir.  If you have the other stuff laying around the fix is 3 bucks.

0 Try running straight white vinegar at least 4 dumps of ice.  Do this after every 4-5 uses.  This helps to clean up the hard water build up.

-3 There are two red sensor lights inside the ice maker that detect when the ice box is full.  You can try cleaning the lights, they get a kind of film over them that prevents them from detecting whether or not the ice tray is full.
