While getting my hot tub ready for the summer, I drained, cleaned and refilled it. When I pressed the pad to turn the pump on it ran for 5 - 10 secs. and shut off. I called a local technician who said I need a new circuit board. I asked if he had tested the circuit board to know if it is defective and he said "No" - thats just what he had been told by a factory rep. For some reason his diagnosis just didn't ring true. The pad where the controls are located does look as if there is water underneath the pad cover. I'm wondering if the control panel could be the problem rather than the $350.00 (+) circuit board. Or is there a way to test the circuit board to see if that really is the problem? Thanks for any info you can give.
