My Kenmore Elite HE3 dryer won't work. The lint s...

My Kenmore Elite HE3 dryer won't work. The lint screen is clean. I select the preferred cycle. Press and hold the Start button. I hear a beep and a click, however the drum doesn't move and no heat is produced. Timer counts down but nothing else happens. Any idea what is wrong? Am I missing a step?
