I needed to reset the clock, but none of the buttons would work. I replaced the batteries in both the transmitter and the receiver. Now there is no internal or external temp, and the clock will not set. Is it really critical to replace the transmitter batteries first, before the receiver? Would this device be considered a "high drain" device? I used two batteries that checked good, but had been used in another device, so they may not have been at 100%.
