1 Lacrosse sent me an email. They said lightning in the area will sometimes knockout communication between the sender and receiver, (I know-great!!). I got mine going by taking the batteries out for about 20 minutes. I was shooting for ten minutes, but got busy. The units were about five feet apart for good communication...D
