The 455 opener can not be relied on to work when tempuratures dip below freezing. It doesn't seem to matter which of the two (2), single button transmitters, that we own, or the wireless keypad, or even the main, wall mounted switch pad, are used. You still have to activate the switches over and over again again before the opener will finaly operate. We have had our Lynx, Model 455 plus, Classic Series, 1/2 H.P. Garage Door Opener for two winters now, with the same problem each winter.

2 I've had this motor for about a year now, and all of the sudden when i try to open or close the door, all it does it blink 5 times... i've consulted my manual and it says that indicates the "vacation" setting is on, however, it is not. I've turned the vacation setting on and back off again and still all i get is blinking. Has anyone else ever had this problem and if so, is there anyone out there that can help me out with this problem? Thanks so much in advance. gosnellcg@gmail.com

0 Mine sometimes opens, sometimes doesn't (or opens but doesn't close again). Seems electricity isn't getting to it intermittently. When pulling the door manually, the motion generates power or something which lights up the bulb briefly.
