I would like to seek advice, my furnace wont lite and there is a white wire that has come away from its location, not sure what to do. I don't want to just put the wire anywhere. I am also trying to combat costs, so I'm trying to do this myself. thanks

0 That white wire may be the lead for the flame sensor. If it is disconnected the gas valve doesn't open. You should have an ignition control module with several wire leads connected. Locate the terminal labled "sensor" or simular. If this is the wire not connected to anything then it belongs on flame sensor. It is located in a bracket near the ignitor. Hope this helps.
