I've had this model of microwave installed since it was brand new in 2009. How do I know when the carbon filter needs to be changed? I do not have it installed for external ventillation. Every once in awhile the vent will start up when it's not even in use and I suspect this probably means the filter needs to be changed. Any ideas on what other causes might exist?
