why can't i sync up any pc svhs outputs to my 20 "...

why can't i sync up any pc svhs outputs to my 20 " or 36 older tube both are magnavox..I use a cable adapter that converts the super vhs video to rca video and feed the tv with that..all I get is a rolling dark deskt upon either TV.. the primary monitors are clear as a bell.. i can do the set uo with a 36 Sony, a 36 Hitachi and a 36 Mitsumi
