0 I have a different model Magnavox DVR/VCR, and I found out only by accident how to use it with my TV - a Toshiba unit. On my TV remote, there's a button that says TV/VIDEO. When I press that, I cycle through several settings - Video 1, Video 2, etc. I have to use both remotes. I set the TV to Video 1, and then I can watch TV through the DVR/VCR. I can also record to either tape or disc. My DVR/VCR will only record to DVD+R (or RW). Good luck.
