The unit is stuck in progressive scan mode. When I hold the stop button for more than 5 seconds i get sound but the display is still Progressive scan mode. What do I do to get pictures back on the dvd?

0 I have the manual. It says to hold the stop button for more than 5 seconds to cancel Progressive mode setting. When I did that the sound came back, but not the picture which still displayed Progressive scan mode.
