what wrong? I turn on the band saw, it seems fine with the blade moving but as soon as I engage the wood to be cut, the blade stops and the motor keeps running

0 check tension on the blade, if the blade doesn't have enough tension, it will just spin. also check tension on the drive belt, same thing. the worst case scenario is the drive belt has had the teet chewed chewed off, and the drive wheel is just spinning in the belt. That belt can be a pain to source out, not sure who carries one.
