0 Thanks! I purchased a new distribution plate, Part# W10164400, and the washer works fine now. I suspect hard water deposits were causing the jets on the right side of the distribution plate to dribble and shoot sideways, allowing water to fill the softener compartment during the main wash cycle fill stage. This caused the softener to be dumped into the wash cycle. $25 for the part and a little work putting it in has the washer working like new. :-)
