I just bought a maytag fabic-matic and I cant figu...

I just bought a maytag fabic-matic and I cant figure out how the drainage hose works there r two?...... when I start to fill the washer for a load the water comes out the hose that's connected to the bottom where the two "drainage" hoses r connected
