my maytag model LAT9205AAM will fill up and do nothing else. Is it the motor?

0 Mine was also stopping mid cycle in several places. When I moved the selector knob around and put pressure to the side it would start again, but stop when I released the pressure. I realized the contacts in the timer had worn out. I found a new timer @ EasyApplianceParts.com for $100 + shipping. Got it in two days reg ground FedEx. Easy to replace. All is good. Good luck.
