Our maytag washer model #lat8106aae stopped workin...

Our maytag washer model #lat8106aae stopped working. We can't find the owners manual and think it might be the safety lid switch or the computer board. I had started the machine, it filled up with water fine and when I opened the lid to add some clothes, when I closed the lid it did not start back up. Can you help?
