Bought this a"as is". It has an 8hp Tecumseh engine. The owner says it ran 2-3 times already this season but now will not run. It has fuel and spark cause it pops with starting fluid and backfires when cranked for more than about 30 seconds. Compression check was about 30-35 PSI (seems low but I'm not sure what it should be). Is this engine toast or is there any hope for it? If the compression is too low to fire, can the top end be rebuilt with new rings, gasket, etc? Looks like a rebuild kit on line is about $45. Any help is appreciated. Thx!! Bob
