Question About Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Alarm None
ERR code...

I have a nighthawk carbon monoxide alarm. model #KN-COP-DP, ASSEMBLY # 900-0056, DATE OF MFG MAR 2001. It started with a beep every 25 - 30 sec.. I checked and it had displayed ERR. On the back it states refer to users guide. Only one problem I no longer have the users guide. Can you provide a remedy. Thanks, Ken Mobley

5 Intermittent "chirping" alarm every 30 seconds and ERR message on the digital display means "Malfunction Signal Group 1 - Component Failure". Probably would be cheaper to replace than repair. This URL will take you directly to a downloadable pdf user guide for your model.

4 I also got the ERR code this morning, with a beep every 30 seconds. I bought the device on October 1, 2001, and this happened on October 15, 2008. I called the manufacturer's toll-free number and was informed that the unit has a 5 year warranty and a 7 year lifetime, and that the unit needs to be replaced. I'm guessing that this error means that its lifetime is over.

3 i have the nighthawk 900-0056 mfg #kn-cop-dp jan 4,2001 and just 2 days ago it started beeping every 25 sec with the err message. What can i do to solve this problem?

0 DITTO but mine is a 1999 model , is this anything dangerous... KIDDE says customer service and they are only open till 5pm
