keep getting an Err message on my model KN-COP-DP ...

keep getting an Err message on my model KN-COP-DP Nighthawk Carbon monoxide alarm that you plug in. When plugged in it beeps every 25-30 seconds and reads Err. Please advise on how to correct this problem. Thank you.
