Mostly shows 0. But sometimes shows 8, 9, this mor...

Mostly shows 0. But sometimes shows 8, 9, this morning was showing 11. The unit registers the same outside as it does inside the house, To me this indicates I have no problem inside the house. Is there some maint. procedure I need to preform?
