Question About Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide Alarm KN-COPP-3

Nighthawk Carbon Monoxide detector Thurday evening my detector kept alarming with an error code. The fire dedartment came to my home to ensure that no carbon monoxide was in the home. They checked to detector and stated that it was malfunctioning. I was encouraged to contact nighthawk for replacement. Please advise.
