what is the small plastic pipe at the back used for,and can you put water or ice in the unit,thank you

0 Try looking at http://www.salvadorescoda.com/tecnico/mundoclima/domestica/MUPO/CL20-095_manual%20MUPO-11-RE_ING.pdf. This appears to be similar to the other air conditioner which B&Q sold (Included heating facility) so should give you the information you require.
